A teenager riding a motorcycle died Friday night in Bellevue after colliding with another vehicle, according to the Bellevue Police Department.
The motorcyclist, 18, was traveling north on 116th Avenue Northeast at high speeds and crashed into another vehicle heading west at the intersection with Northeast Eighth Street. Bellevue police and firefighters were dispatched at 9:40 p.m.
Emergency responders attempted lifesaving measures, but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle suffered injuries not considered life-threatening, Bellevue police said.
Police closed the intersection Friday night during their investigation, but the road has since been reopened to the public. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
