Outrage over the casting of next season’s Farmer Wants a Wife: ‘They’re too young to be looking for love’
The cast of the 2024 season of Farmer Wants a Wife has been announced.
And fans have already slammed the casting ahead of the show’s filming, with many complaining the male farmers are too young.
Not one of the eight farmers tapped for the series next year are older than 35.
Producers opened applications for single woman looking for love for the 2024 season with a picture of each of the farmers, including their age and the location of their farms.
The youngest of the farmers are Nick from South Australia and Tom from Victoria, who are both 22.

The oldest farmers are Todd and Joe, both 33, from NSW. Also included in the cast are Queenslanders, Bert, 30 and Dean, 25.
There’s also Dustin, 26 from NSW, and 28-year-old Zac from South Australia.
‘Are you a single lady looking for love,’ Seven captioned the picture on the FWAW Instagram page.
Fans were quick to fill the comments’ section with their disappointment.
One hopeful replied to the casting call sounded crushed: ‘But I’m 39! These farmers are all too young.’
‘All too young, where are the older farmers?,’ another said.
‘Awwww where are the mature men who are actually looking for love…. these little whipper-snapper are too young,’ one added.

‘Can the 22 year olds please chill?,’ another complained. ‘We all know they’re not looking for a wife.’
Meanwhile, former reality star Liam Cooper slammed the casting as lacking in diversity.
‘Where is the LGBTQIA? There are gay, lesbian and bisexual farmers out there that are looking for love too!,’ the MAFS star said.
Farmer Wants a Wife will return to Channel Seven next year with hosts Samantha Armytage and Natalie Gruzlewski.
