Introduced earlier this year, the Acer SB272 Ebi is a 27-inch FHD monitor that seems not worth checking out at first glance. However, both gamers and home/office users looking for a great deal should take a closer look. Now available on Amazon for US$119.99 thanks to a 29% discount, this flat IPS monitor is at least worthy of a closer look before deciding to look for something else.
Advertised as an ultra-thin monitor suited for home, gaming, and office use, the Acer SB272 Ebi has a 100 Hz refresh rate (only via HDMI) and 1 ms VRB response time, as well 250 nits brightness. It is compatible with 75 X 75 mm VESA mounts while its stand only features adjustable tilt (-5 to 15 degrees). The monitor comes with one HDMI 1.4 port alongside a single VGA port. Fortunately, the standard retail package includes an HDMI cable.
In addition to the above, it should also be mentioned that the Acer SB272 Ebi is compatible with AMD FreeSync. The 41,289 user reviews it shares with four other models recommend it with a score of 4.6/5. The breakdown by feature focuses on six attributes, namely ease of assembly (4.7), brightness (4.5), picture quality (4.4), durability and screen quality (4.3), as well as gaming performance (4.2).
