Xiaomi is projected to release a version of the 13 Pro with different specs – a new top-end processor from MediaTek rather than Qualcomm included – in the third quarter of 2023. However, it has been the stuff of leaks and rumors – up until now.
The 12T Pro successor has turned up on the NBTC’s website, typically a stepping stone to a debut in any market by a mobile device. The regulator acknowledges the upcoming device by name and also by a model number (hinting at global availability) identical to that from a previous leak linking the device to the Dimensity 9200+ processor. This new tip cannot corroborate that detail, although it confirms that the smartphone has 5G.
Accordingly, this may prove the best evidence yet that the 13T Pro does exist and will be released before the end of 2023. Then again, it has yet to be joined by a vanilla 13T on the NBTC database at the time of writing.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
