OnePlus announced an R variant at around the same time as its flagship 11 smartphone for the international market, and is now predicted to do the same once it is ready to launch the 12. However, it is expected to hit the Chinese market first as the Pro version of the Ace 2.
Then again, it is possible that this device and the 12R may not be completely alike, as the former is predicted to reprise the 150W SuperVOOC charging speed of the 10T (or first-gen Ace Pro), while the latter sticks with the 100W counterpart found in the 11.
Now, according to Digital Chat Station, 3C has proven that leaker right: the OnePlus PJA110 – said to be the Ace 2 Pro – has reportedly been registered with the 3C authority with the requisite 11V/13.7A technology. The device might even ship with the Ace Pro’s power brick (the VCBEJACH).
The tipster now also asserts that the Ace 2 Pro – which may also become OnePlus’ first ever 24GB RAM smartphone whereas the 12R might miss out on that spec – will debut “soon”, while global consumers might have to wait until 2024 for the version available to them.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
