A teenager has kicked the idea of a 9-to-5 job or college to the kerb – to travel the world in an old van.
Jon Purcell, 18, believed to be from the US, has been travelling for a little over a year and is currently working his way down the Californian coast.
The nomad resides in an old Volkswagen van that is 54 years old, three times Jon’s age.
Despite the often unglamorous way of life, Jon has no regrets because of all the ‘crazy’ locations he’s found himself in, from beaches to forests and waterfalls.
Since taking the plunge, the eighteen-year-old has tracked his travels on TikTok and racked up millions of views with social media users keen to learn about his unconventional lifestyle.
