The Garmin Public Beta 2.51 update has been released for the Venu Sq 2. As with other recent updates, v2.51 adds the Gaming activity, which you can use to log Esports. The software also improves the ANT+ and BLE functionality, though Garmin does not specify exactly what the changes are. Plus, Connect IQ also receives bug fixes and improvements.
Alongside the leading software, v2.51 comes with several updates. These include Sensor Hub 25.63, Network Processor 3.01, Icon Animations 1.05, Graphics 1.12, Text Languages 1.13 and Mobile Translations 1.05. If you are signed up for the Beta Program, your watch should receive the firmware automatically via Garmin Connect Manager; the company notes that the update could take several hours to install.
If you find any bugs with software version 2.51, Garmin asks that you report them in the Bug Reports section of the forum; at the time of writing, no issues have been logged. The firmware is a Release Candidate, meaning that the company expects to release an identical public version to all Venu 2 Sq units shortly, assuming no significant issues are found. If you wish to join the Beta Program, you can do so via Garmin Connect.
