The first signs that Samsung is ready to start selling the Odyssey Neo G9 G95NC have emerged. For context, the gaming monitor debuted over seven months ago during CES 2023 in January, during which Samsung also presented the Odyssey OLED G9. Despite launching the Odyssey OLED G9 since, Samsung has not brought the Odyssey Neo G9 G95NC to market yet.
As we discussed in January, the Odyssey Neo G9 G95NC has a 57-inch display with a 1000R curvature, up from its predecessor’s 49-inch panel. According to Samsung, the new monitor outputs natively 7,680 x 2,160 pixels, which correlates to a 140 PPI pixel density. Additionally, the monitor has a 240 Hz refresh rate. In other words, the Odyssey Neo G9 G95NC should be capable of pushing even high-end gaming PCs to their limits.
Moreover, the gaming monitor delivers 1,000 nits peak brightness courtesy of Mini LED backlights, for which it has received VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification. Currently, Austrian retailer Krob has listed the Odyssey Neo G9 G95NC for €3,219, although there were competitors offering the same SKU for €2,688. While Samsung has not confirmed pricing details yet, the appearance of the monitor on European retailers suggests that the Odyssey Neo G9 G95NC is finally close to release.
