He’s in Australia to celebrate his best friend Chris Hemsworth’s 40th birthday.

And Matt Damon grabbed some take-away food with his family on Sunday after the celebrations. 

The Oscar winner, 52, was spotted in Byron Bay over the weekend picking up a food order from the seaside town’s popular Top Shop cafe.

However it was the Hollywood star’s wife Luciana, 47, opting for summery boho glamour, who stole the limelight from her A-list husband. 

The Argentine beauty stunned in a matching patterned midriff top and long skirt.

Letting her already bronzed skin shine in the light, Luciana also wore grecian-style leather sandals and statement sunglasses. 

Completing the look, she wore her lustrous dark hair out and loose. 

Meanwhile Matt donned a black t-shirt showing off his muscular chest and arms and matching black pants, cutting a sleek yet casual figure in the northern NSW sun. 

Their daughters were more casually dressed, one of them wearing track suit pants and classic Aussie Ugg boots, while the other was in a tank top and loose pants.

The family is in Byron Bay visiting Matt’s good friend Chris Hemsworth, who celebrated his 40th birthday this past weekend.

Matt is a frequent visitor to Australian shores and spent six months living in the country with his family in 2021, where he filmed a role in the latest Thor instalment.

‘I’m so excited that my family and I will be able to call Australia home for the next few months,’ Matt said ahead of the shoot.

‘Australian film crews are world renowned for their professionalism and are a joy to work with so the 14 days of quarantine will be well worth it.’

He added: ‘Australia definitely is the lucky country.’

The US actor’s trips have only fuelled rumours he is looking to relocate Down Under with his family on a full-time basis.

A source told Woman’s Day: ‘Matt loves Australia… Chris enjoys the quiet life away from Hollywood and that just makes it even more appealing.’

It’s not the first time reports have surfaced about Matt’s rumoured plans to move to Byron Bay.

‘Matt’s telling friends and colleagues in Hollywood that he’s moving the family to Australia for a year,’ a ‘top’ source told the publication.

‘Matt’s saying the move will not impact his work – as he will travel to wherever his projects are shooting. He’s also telling friends he wants to have a safe place to raise his kids.’

But despite whispers of a move Down Under, Matt has denied he is leaving the US.

‘Matt has visited Australia several times recently, but he has not bought a house there nor is he moving there,’ his representative said at the time.

Matt and Luciana share three daughters – Isabella, Gia and Stella.

The Good Will Hunting star is also the stepfather to Luciana’s daughter from her previous marriage, Alexia.
