In Fall/Winter 2023, Junya WATANABE MAN collaborates with a large roster of brands—from Carhartt WIP, Palace, and Levi’s to New Balance, GORE-TEX, and others—and recently, the label released a chic technical vest with INNERRAUM.

The chic technical vest by Junya WATANABE MAN and INNERRAUM is head-turning. It embraces the principles of ‘Gorpcore,’ a fashion trend that draws inspiration from outdoor and utilitarian clothing, particularly gear worn by hikers, campers, and outdoor enthusiasts.

The Junya WATANABE MAN x INNERRAUM vest is offered in a commanding black colorway and the silhouette features an array of tactical pockets and ratchet bindings. INNERRAUM’s innovative 100% PU matte black construction techniques are employed to create intriguing sculptural forms, “alien-like boxes,” zipped pockets, and bag shapes on the jacket. Notably, the rear of the vest boasts an exoskeleton structure, demonstrating the collaboration’s willingness to push boundaries and experiment with unconventional design.
