Lenovo introduced the affordable LOQ series of gaming laptops in March of this year. The laptops pack the latest Intel Raptor Lake/AMD Ryzen 7000 processors and up to RTX 4060 graphics. The Lenovo LOQ 16 which has a starting price of US$1,149.99 can now be had for only US$984.99, a discount of US$435 on the US$1,419.99 list price. To get to the discounted price, you will need to use coupon codes EXTRA5 and BUYMORELENOVO at checkout (via slickdeals). The coupon codes take a combined US$115 off the already reduced price.
On paper, the Lenovo LOQ 16 looks like a capable performer. The machine packs the latest Ryzen 7 7840HS CPU and the RTX 4060 GPU which should provide the notebook with enough raw compute to power through any CPU and GPU-intensive task that you can throw at it.
Moreover, the 16-inch IPS display with FHD+ resolution, 350 nits of advertised brightness, 144 Hz refresh rate, and NVIDIA G-SYNC/AMD FreeSync compatibility should serve gamers just fine.
While we haven’t reviewed the Lenovo LOQ 16, we did get to put the Lenovo LOQ 15 through its paces in our review where the laptop got a “good” rating of 86%. We were particularly impressed with the Ryzen 7 7840HS and the RTX 4050 which netted a performance rating of 87.9%. Since the RTX 4060 featured inside the model on sale is up to 20% faster than the RTX 4050, the LOQ 16 should be enough to handle high refresh rate FHD gaming.
Furthermore, the Lenovo LOQ 15 with its 60 Wh battery lasted close to 7.5 hours in our real-world WLAN test. Since the LOQ 16 under discussion also features a 60 Wh cell, runtimes should be similar.
All in all, the Lenovo LOQ 16PAH8 is a decently powerful midrange gaming laptop that should be on every budget shopper’s radar as it now costs only US$984.99.
