Love Island’s Whitney Adebayo calls out ‘messy’ Kady McDermott for comments she has made about her since leaving the villa – as fans prepare for ‘juicy’ reunion show

Whitney Adebayo has branded her Love Island co-star Kady McDermott ‘messy’ for comments she has made about her fellow Islanders since leaving the show.

The Love Island star, 25, appeared to be referencing a recent podcast appearance where Kady, 28, discussed both her and their co-star Scott van-der-Sluis.

Kady compared Whitney and her beau Lochan Nowacki to 2019 winners Amber Gill and Greg Wise, suggesting that Whitney would have won whoever she was with.

Kady then joked that Amber and Greg were together for ‘just a week’, hinting that she didn’t think Whitney and Lochan would be able to go the distance. 

In response to this Whitney took to Instagram Live with Lochan to tell Kady that she has been ‘talking too much’, as she hit back at the reality personality.

Whitney said: ‘Kady, you’ve been talking too much, why have you been talking too much?’

Whitney then brought up her comments about Scott, suggesting that he was difficult to live with during their time in the villa.

Scott addressed the comments himself in a different podcast, admitting that he was lax with making his bed and other household chores.

Holding up her phone while on FaceTime to Scott, Whitney shouted out Kady again and said: ‘This is the reason why your name be up. Girl [laughs].

‘Kady you messy messy bish! Scottisha, I was just on the phone to Scottisha. The reunion this weekend, who is excited? Who is shaking? Who is confronting? Who has got something to say?’

Whitney also noticed that Mitch had commented below the video, and shouted out: ‘Messy Mitch!’

After spotting the interaction on Instagram, many Love Island fans took to social media to share their thoughts about the comments.

One person, who was clearly amused by Whitney’s approach, said: ‘Whitney dragging Kady on her live lol.’

While another person said: ‘Whitney FaceTiming Scott on her live and calling Kady out [laughing face emoji]’.

One eagle-eyed follower noticed that Kady had reached out to Whitney in the comments section of the post, suggesting things are all good between them

One other person said: ‘I mean what did Kady expect! Whitney kept it real cute for how loud Kady was.’

Mentioning Kady’s comments about Scott, one person said: ‘So Scott said “I made my bed at first but stopped. I talked about followers but I wasn’t the only one. I said thank you but I never said please. He confirmed everything Kady said but made it bland. I don’t see any lies in what Kady said. Then after said I love Kady.’ 

Another picked up on Mitch’s comment, and said: ‘Mitch was on Whitney’s live saying Kady is more two-faced than him. I can’t wait for the Love Island reunion he’s funny.’

Another begged the group to save the drama for the reunion, writing: ‘Heard Whitney called Kady out on IG live? She should save it for the reunion pls!’

One other said: ‘NOT WHITNEY @ing KADY. She’s hilarious it’s all love though ffs.’

A different person shared their excitement for the reunion, and wrote: ‘Kady on podcasts talking about how bad Scott was to live with, Whitney on live, FaceTiming Scott and calling Kady out, I’m exciting arguments and drama at that Love Island reunion on Sunday.’

One person exclaimed: ‘Let’s not forget that Kady was also talking about Whitney on the podcast, Whitney has every right to call her out.’

It comes just after Kady revealed which contestant she will not be friends with outside the Love Island villa as she discussed their shocking off-camera behaviour.

And it may not come as a surprise to fan’s of the show who previously saw her rocky relationship with Molly Marsh pan out on screen after she stole Zachariah Noble. 

Speaking in a new interview this week, Kady gave an further insight, claiming that the actress refused to speak to the other girls off-mic. 

The TV personality joined Kiss Fresh on TikTok, to lift the lid on her relationship with Molly but insisted that she’s ‘not bothered’.

She explained: ‘I actually got on with Molly, I didn’t feel a certain way about her. She obviously didn’t like me and it’s very clear that she didn’t.’

Kady continued: ‘So yeah, we won’t be friends after this but I’m not bothered anyway.

Adding their feud, she explained: ‘So basically, Molly off-camera, I know she would talk to girls in the set-up chats, but off-camera, lunch and dinner, and down days, she wouldn’t talk to any of the girls. 

‘She’d completely segregate herself. She’d either be on her own or be with Zach. But then on the down days, you couldn’t be with the boys, you had to be separated.

‘But yeah, as soon as the camera’s weren’t on or we were off-mic, she wouldn’t talk to any of us girls, so we were like, “Oh maybe she doesn’t like any of us?”
