Tech executive Elon Musk has plans to contribute roughly $45M per month to a super political action committee that is behind President Trump, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
Musk, who leads Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA), SpaceX (SPACE), xAI and X, is backing the America PAC. Other backers of the PAC include Palantir (PLTR) co-founder Joe Lonsdale, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, the former U.S. ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft and her husband, Joe Craft, the Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Resource Partners (ARLP), the news outlet added.
The political action committee was created in June and is focused on registering voters and attempting to get them to vote early and request mail-in ballots in swing states, The Journal added, citing a person familiar.
A number of other tech executives, including venture capitalists, have contributed to the fund, the New York Times reported. Musk had not yet donated to the PAC as of June 30, the Times added.
