And she credited season 18 Bachelorette Michelle Young for offering her a few words of wisdom on the endeavor.
“We’re both in the same mindset in which we want to keep making change happen,” Jenn recalled. “If we’re the people spearheading that then all the better. She was like, ‘You know what you’re doing for a reason’ and just be strong-willed and strong-headed.”
Despite the surprises in store for her season, the physician associate is at peace with it all.
“I think that the way the story played out is exactly the way it needed to play out,” she added. “I’m definitely happy with the outcome of the season.”
The Bachelorette premieres Monday, July 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and is available to stream next day on Hulu.
