Calista Flockhart, 59, steals the spotlight in an elegant strapless jumpsuit as ageless Ally McBeal star joins Sadie Sink and Michelle Williams on the front row at the Ashi Studio Paris Fashion Week presentation

A host of international stars descended on the French capital for another day of Paris Fashion Week presentations on Thursday, but it was Calista Flockhart claimed the spotlight, and rightly so. 

The actress, 59, best known for her role as quirky lawyer Ally McBeal, looked incredible in a sweeping black strapless jumpsuit as she attended the Ashi Studio Haute Couture Fall-Winter 2024-2025 presentation. 

Flockhart, who attended the event without husband Harrison Ford, completed the look with a matching sheer cape,  while her tousled hair was neatly styled with a conventional side-parting. 

She was joined by Stranger Things star Sadie Sink, who looked worlds away from her tomboyish character Max Mayfield in a cropped powder pink top and matching pleated trousers. 

The actress, 22, offset the ensemble with a pair of distinctive white square-cut heels, while blood red lipstick added an extra splash of colour. 

Meanwhile Michelle Williams caught the eye in a sleeveless A-line dress with a floor-length train as she made her way inside. 

The American star, 43, rounded off the minimal look with a pair of matching heels, while her bobbed blonde hair was swept away from her face. 

Actor Tom Hollander was also in attendance as Saudi Arabian designer Mohammed Ashi unveiled his latest collection in the French capital. 

The British star, 56, was dwarfed by statuesque partner Fran Hickman while posing for photos before the event got underway. 

Elsewhere Christina Milian, 42, ensured she claimed her own share of the spotlight in a layered white minidress and matching strappy heels. 

Flockhart’s appearance in Paris comes after she admitted to ‘feeling like she was on trial’ after being dogged by rumours that she had anorexia while starring in Ally McBeal.

Despite winning a Golden Globe for her performance, the actress says she faced a wave of criticism and was accused of being ‘anti-feminist’ for wearing short skirts while playing the high-flying Boston lawyer.

In an interview with The Sunday Times’ Style Magazine, Flockhart admitted it was ‘bizarre’ being repeatedly questioned about her weight while starring in the show.

She said: ‘We started out creating something really special. And then we had to share it, and that’s when everything went to s**t…

‘I felt like I was on trial for something. It was bizarre.’

In the same interview, Flockhart also offered rare insight into her marriage to Harrison Ford, admitting that when they first met she thought he was ‘lascivious old man.’

She admitted she was initially underwhelmed ‘because I had never seen Star Wars, which I know sounds really crazy. But I grew up in a small town without movie theatre.

‘I was aware of who Harrison Ford was! But I didn’t think, ”Oh this is Indiana Jones.” It was more along the lines of, ”This is some lascivious old man and what is he doing at our table?” I was being a smarta*s.’
