ViewSonic has revealed yet another 27-inch gaming monitor, less than a month after introducing the VX2758-4K-PRO-2 in China. This time, the company has detailed the VX2758A-2K-PRO, a counterpart to the VX2758A-2K-PRO-2 that it already sells. Seemingly, ViewSonic intends to offer the former outside China, given the monitor’s appearance on its global website.
As far as we can tell, ViewSonic has distinguished the VX2758A-2K-PRO from the VX2758A-2K-PRO-2 in two areas. Namely, the VX2758A-2K-PRO peaks at 250 nits, 50 nits and 17% less than the VX2758A-2K-PRO-2. Additionally, the former ships with a simple stand that only supports tilt adjustments, compared to the height, swivel, pivot and tilt adjustments that the VX2758A-2K-PRO-2 provides. Thus, the VX2758A-2K-PRO also outputs at 170 Hz across its 27-inch ‘SuperClear’ IPS panel with a native resolution of 1440p (2,560 x 1,440).
Moreover, the VX2758A-2K-PRO has DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 video connections, as well as a 3.5 mm jack for connecting external audio equipment. Unfortunately, a USB hub and internal speakers are not present, nor is an Ethernet connection. Currently, it is unclear when ViewSonic will begin selling the VX2758A-2K-PRO, let alone for how much. Instead, the monitor’s product listing currently carries the flag ‘coming soon’, unlike the VX2758A-2K-PRO-2. Please see ViewSonic’s website for more details.
