Taylor Swift has allegedly sold the film rights to her Eras Tour concert film to The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) for more than $75M, according to a report by Variety.
Disney outbid Netflix (NFLX) and Universal Pictures (CMCSA) to put Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) on Disney+ worldwide, according to the report.
In conjunction with its first-quarter earnings report released earlier this week, Disney announced it would begin streaming the box office blockbuster on Disney+ on March 15. The film, directed by Sam Wrench, grossed more than $260M in worldwide box office sales and became the top-selling concert film of all time.
The Disney+ version will feature new footage and five additional songs.
The digital release of the film occurred on Dec. 13. It was distributed by Universal.
