Sony has launched a new promotion on PlayStation Direct, where the PlayStation 5 Slim is now available at the lowest price currently. To participate in the promotion, prospective buyers need to have an active subscription to PlayStation Plus, which costs $9.99 per month in the cheapest version. Buyers will then receive a 10% discount as long as two products with a minimum order value of $100 are ordered from PlayStation Direct by February 14, 2024.
This results in lower prices for the PlayStation 5 Slim, both with and without the disk drive. Those who can do without the disk drive can get the console and an accessory product (such as the vertical stand, the media remote or the DualSense charging station) for a discounted total of just under $432 as part of the promotion. The console (without a disk drive) is otherwise priced at $449.99. Add one of the aforementioned accessory products, which are listed at $29.99, and the normal total would be $479.98.
The model with a disk drive, together with one of the aforementioned accessory products, costs just under $522 in this promotion, compared to a normal total price of $579.98. Those who don’t need any of the aforementioned accessories can also order a game, a second DualSense controller or side panels in other colors to meet the requirements of the promotion. Those who purchase the Digital Edition can upgrade the disk drive later, which is priced at $79.99. The 10% promotional discount also applies if two products are purchased without a console, but it is important to compare prices, as many games and accessories are also available at lower prices at other retailers.
