The EU has agreed a €50bn financial support package for Ukraine within the bloc’s shared budget, the president of the European Council said on Thursday.
“We have a deal,” said Charles Michel in statement on X. “All 27 leaders agreed.” The statement suggests Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has rescinded his veto against the package.
“This locks in steadfast, long-term, predictable funding for Ukraine,” Michel added.
