Peruvian retailer Falabella launched an empowering summer campaign, targeted at women. The video is titled ‘Mi cuerpo no necesita tu opinión’ which translates to ‘My body doesn’t need your opinion.’ With this marketing initiative, Falabella hopes to capture the attention of consumers and encourage women to confront, resist, and reject unsolicited comments about their bodies.
In addition to the video, Falabella goes a step further with its empowering summer campaign by creating an interactive dedicated website that features advice on how to approach unsolicited comments from psychologist Corina Wong—from setting boundaries and verbally communicating discomfort with the remarks to questioning the motivates behind the comments.
Falabella’s ‘My body doesn’t need your opinion’ will certainly have a positive effect on women.
