Irish designer Niamh Barry’s work merges elements of contemporary design and innovative craftsmanship as his work often meticulously uses bronze, glass, and polycarbonate. Some of the most recent designs arrive in the form of the Ghost bench, the Shouldering Table, and the What if Everything is Not Linear? light. All of these are great examples of Barry’s work and how he defies the ideas of gravity and manipulation of one’s perception.
The Ghost Bench is a bronze structure with a mirror polish. The Shouldering Table highlights a blue-patinated bronze coating with organic accents for a thin surface. The What if Everything is Not Linear? light is inspired by biblical proportions with the right solid bronze elements coming together to form a single sculpture.
