Tommy Mallet discovered he had Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) after realising he couldn’t listen to crying babies, he revealed on Wednesday.
The former TOWIE star, 31, was diagnosed with the condition in 2022 after nearly splitting with now wife Georgia Kousoulou.
ADHD is a condition that includes symptoms such as being restless and having trouble concentrating.
Speaking on Boots’ Taboo Talk podcast with Vogue Williams, Tommy said: ‘The babies crying was the thing that got my actually diagnosed.
‘When I proposed to Georgia, I was filming it and I could never forget, all I wanted to do is get out the place we was in. I just wanted to move from there. I spent all these money on these flowers and I just wanted to get out of there.’

Recalling the toll it had on his relationship with Georgia before discovering his diagnosis, Tommy admitted his ‘crazy impulsive decisions’ because of the condition was what led to the pair nearly splitting.
He discussed: ‘The impulse also didn’t help me. Me and Georgia was actually splitting up, I just told her we’re moving to Spain and it didn’t help that I was going through a really successful time of my life.
‘I went to the woman [estate agent] and said I’m buying this and I’m buying this today, other wise I’m not having it.
‘So next thing you know, I’m buying houses aboard and coming home and Georgia’s like “but I’ve not seen them” and then I was like “oh well, It’s done now”.
‘It’s just like that impulsiveness was getting worse and worse and worse and me and Georgia just weren’t getting on.
‘I didn’t know how to be present, I was just making crazy decisions. I owe Georgia the world, for someone to be a mum and go through what she was going through with me as a person.
‘I was so bad to be around, I was aggressive, unless you were talking about something I was interested in, I was like “don’t talk to me about it”. If someone was taking to long, I was like “forget about it”.’
Georgia and Tommy shared the surprise news in December that they’d tied the knot in a low-key legal ceremony, with plans for a lavish wedding in Majorca later this year.

Georgia recently revealed that her son Brody ‘saved her’ after she suffered a miscarriage last year.
The TOWIE star, 32, admitted she ‘struggled to talk’ after losing her baby when she was 12 weeks pregnant back in April, and admitted her grief is still ‘up and down.’
Speaking to Heat Magazine, Georgia also hinted that they are hoping to expand their family this year, saying in 2024 that ‘they feel like they’re going to get what they wish for this year.’
Discussing her miscarriage, Georgia said: ‘With grief, I don’t think you get over it, but you learn to live with it. There are days when I’m in a better headspace and I’m really positive, then I’ll be triggered and be lile ”Why did it happen?”
‘I just think it’s very up and down. I’m so blessed to have Brody, he saved me in more ways than he knows – he makes me a better Mum.
‘When you’ve got a child, you haven’t got time to sit and cry. You get up, you show up and you’re a mum. I guess Brody is the answer. I’m so lucky.’
