Ragnahawk Guide (Catch Locations, Skills, & Breeding)

The “Wings of Inferno” Pal known as Ragnahawk is one of the most striking creatures in Palworld with many different skills and abilities. A massive Fire-type bird, Ragnahawk is not only a flying mount you can catch but also an excellent Pal for breeding powerful additions to your team. This Pal also has traits for various jobs at your base with versatile approaches to multiple types of work.

Those looking to fully complete their Paldeck should consider crafting Pal Spheres to help them catch stronger Pals like Ragnahawk. The best Spheres are locked in your Technology tree until your character reaches a specific level. Getting to the highest level in Palworld will let you build Legendary Pal Spheres, which can greatly raise the capture rate of any Pal you try to catch.

Where to Find (& Catch) Ragnahawk

Ragnahawk can be encountered on the southwest edge of your map, near Mount Obsidian toward the beach. The Fire-type Pal will typically be around Level 35, and fly around the high peaks of cliffs in the surrounding area. You might need a long-range gun or a weapon that excels from afar to damage this creature to a point where you can capture it without any issues.

Consider bringing a Water-type Pal to this location, so you have a creature that takes advantage of Ragnahawk’s type weakness in Palworld. Reducing the firebird’s health down to the lowest it can go without knocking it out gives you the best chance to catch it. Ragnahawk spawns during both the day and night, which thankfully allows you to search for it whenever you want.

The Best Jobs & Roles for Ragnahawk

The best job for Ragnahawk is demonstrated when you use the Pal as a flying mount, but you may want to consider its affinity for Kindling and Transporting roles as well. The only way you can use Ragnahawk as a mount is by building a Saddle for the Pal once you capture it. This technology will be unlocked the moment you add a Ragnahawk to your Paldeck for you to construct back at your base.

It takes 25 Leather, 15 Cloth, 20 Ingots, 20 Flame Organs, and 25 Palladium Fragments to make a Ragnahawk Saddle in Palworld. You need to be Technology Level 37 to have access to this blueprint among your other item recipes. Ragnahawk has a decent flying speed compared to most aerial Pals, which should let you reach places better than just walking from the nearest fast travel waypoint.

Ragnahawk has Kindling 3 and Transporting 3 to make up its stats related to Work Suitability in Palworld. Kindling gives the Fire-type the ability to work different fire stations around your base, providing warmth or power in equal measure. Transporting gives Ragnahawk a way to transport items from gathering stations, and move them into storage units for you to access at a later time.

How to Breed Ragnahawk from Other Pals

If you are struggling to find or defeat a Ragnahawk, especially at earlier levels, you may want to breed one from an Egg produced by other creatures. Learning how to hatch Eggs in Palworld can open up a way to receive a Pal you normally would have a very low chance of catching. According to a video by YouTube creator Verlisify, there are many breeding combinations with a variety of possibilities to explore.

There are seven ways to produce a Ragnahawk from breeding, which includes these Pal combinations:
