Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 receives promising updates from Poseidon actor Toby Stephens and one of the show’s executive producers. With only one episode left in season 1 of the Disney+ series that adapts Rick Riordan’s beloved novels, anticipation is mounting for a season 2 renewal.
While Disney+ has yet to confirm season 2, Stephens and executive producer Jon Steinberg were optimistic about the show’s future when speaking with TVLine, although Steinberg admits that “nothing has been ordered yet,” and Stephens says “he hadn’t heard anything.” Read their comments below:
Steinberg: I think everybody’s really focused on making sure that people have the reaction to the show that we’re hoping they will. There are some people that spend their day thinking about what next season would look like so hopefully, that work will become a little more official sooner than later.
Stephens: I entered into it knowing… both Jon [Steinberg ] and [executive producer Dan Shotz] said, “Well, you know, he’s a recurring character.” When I read the scripts that they’d sent me, I thought, “This is really nice.” It’s something that will be fun to do, and it’s obviously a huge privilege to be part of such a much-loved franchise that means so much to so many people.
More to come…
