Japan’s unemployment rate fell to 2.4% in December from 2.5% in the previous two months, which was also the consensus forecast.
It was the lowest jobless rate since January as the number of employed persons increased by 380,000 to 67.54M, while the unemployed declined by 20,000 to 1.56M.
Meanwhile, the jobs-to-applications ratio stood at 1.27 in December, indicating there were 127 job openings for every 100 job seekers.
