NVIDIA rolled out a new feature titled ‘RTX Video HDR’ as part of its latest stable driver update. The version 551.23 Game Ready driver offers support for RTX Video HDR on all web-based video content, provided the user meets the requirements. In order to utilize RTX Video HDR, users must have HDR10-enabled monitors, HDR support on their computer, and HDR enabled in Windows 11’s operating system.
The RTX Video HDR feature can be enabled in the same way as NVIDIA’s previously-released AI Video Enhancement feature, which is in the Video section of the NVIDIA Control Panel application. It is important to note that enabling this feature, particularly when also enabling RTX AI Video Enhancement, will place a large load on the graphics card, which may lead to increased heat generation and fan noise.
