London: The Princess of Wales left hospital after 13 days, returning home to Windsor after being admitted for abdominal surgery.
Catherine, 42, who went into the London Clinic for planned surgery on Tuesday, January 16, is at home in Windsor, said to be making “good progress”.

A statement from Kensington Palace on Monday said that she had been discharged and would “continue her recovery from surgery. She is making good progress.”
“The prince and princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided,” the palace said.
“The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well-wishes they have received from around the world.”
The princess, who is married to King Charles’s eldest son, Prince William, was admitted to hospital for an undisclosed condition that is understood to be non-cancerous.

She is not expected to return to official duties until after Easter, following several months of recuperation. Several British media outlets have reported that palace aides have advised that any return would depend on medical advice closer to the time.
William has been in to visit his wife in hospital, but her three young children have not been seen coming and going, attending school as usual. He has said that he would also scale back his work so that he can support his wife’s recovery until her care and recovery is settled.
