On Claim to Fame season 2, Gabriel has tricked his fellow contestants into believing that he’s related to an NFL star, but his relative’s true identity is actually from the world of entertainment. Gabriel began the lie about his relative being an athlete on premiere night during the Two Truths and a Lie segment, and has run with it ever since, including in the lie detector challenge. He also revealed that being on Claim to Fame was the one time in his life when looking nothing like his celebrity relative was going to work in his favor.
Gabriel has emerged as a frontrunner on Claim to Fame season 2. After winning back-to-back challenges and teaming up with Chris, he has access to many Wine Room puzzle clues. Gabriel has also done an impeccable job of hiding his own relative’s identity. His Wine Room clue was the last one to be revealed, and he was there with Chris when it was opened because they won a challenge. In episode 7, J.R. was so convinced that Gabriel is related to NFL player Julius Peppers, that he didn’t even read Gabriel’s clues. However, Gabriel is related to someone completely different.
Gabriel’s Claim To Fame Season 2 Clues
In Claim to Fame season 2, episode 2, Gabriel’s relative’s birthplace was revealed to be San Diego, California. In episode 3, he told a story about how his celebrity relative bought bracelets as Valentine’s Day gifts for four different women he was dating at the same time. Gabriel also had three clues revealed about him after his team lost the challenge. His headshot was enhanced with details, including a red and yellow star (which the contestants interpreted to mean Dallas), a pair of drumsticks, and a propeller hat.
During Claim to Fame episode 4, in which the contestants had to correctly identify statues while blindfolded, Gabriel’s teammates correctly guessed that one was a burger. Gabriel said in his confessional that it might be his clue. He thought it might reference Good Burger, the movie with Keenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell. Gabriel revealed to the audience that his brother was on Nickelodeon with Keenan and Kel.
During Claim to Fame season 2 episode 7, Gabriel’s Wine Room clue was the only one left, so he and Chris had to reveal it. It had symbols of a mother pushing a baby carriage, the number 2, a greater-than sign, 10 babies, the ampersand, a drum, and a star. A baby doll and a drum were also on the Clue Wall. Although Chris told Gabriel that he knew what the clue meant, he admitted in his confessional that he had no idea.
Gabriel Is Nick Cannon’s Brother
Although Chris doesn’t know who Gabriel is, it’s obvious that he’s related to actor, rapper, and host of The Masked Singer, Nick Cannon. Gabriel said in his confessional that anyone who has been paying attention to pop culture lately would figure out the young man, who’s had baby after baby. This is definitely Nick, who is the father of 12 children. Nick is also the star of the movie Drumline, and appeared on Nickelodeon’s All That with Keenan and Kel.
Gabriel is Nick’s younger brother, Gabriel Cannon, who has released some singles on Apple Music. The singles include the song “Bow My Head,” featuring another one of his brothers, Reuben. Gabriel’s Instagram page includes some pictures of him with Nick. He has been playing an impeccable game. From his social skills to winning challenges to his secret alliance with Chris, Gabriel has set himself up to make it to the end of the game. His fellow contestants still think he’s related to an athlete, which might ensure that one of them makes a wrong guess about him, even if they try to eliminate him. Gabriel will most likely win Claim to Fame.
Claim to Fame airs Mondays at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC.
