One of the hardest Pokémon to catch in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is Cherrim, and you will need to catch it sooner or later to complete your Pokédex. You will also be tasked to catch Cherrim as a part of a request called “To Bloom or Not to Bloom.” However, catching Cherrim isn’t as quite straightforward since it only spawns at specific locations.
Since its spawn rate isn’t as common as other Pokémon, you can either catch it the easy way by evolving Cherrim or do it the hard way, which requires much more patience. Cherrim has three different areas they’ll spawn in across the Hisui region: the Obsidian Fieldlands, Coronet Highlands, and Crimson Mirelands.
Cherrim Locations in Arceus
In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Cherrim can only be caught at specific locations with shaking trees in Pokémon Legends. If you are looking to find Cherrim, you can find them in the following areas listed below:
Region | Exact Location |
---|---|
Obsidian Fieldlands | Heartwood |
Crimson Mirelands | Gapejaw Bog |
Coronet Highlands | Lonely Spring, Fabled Spring, and Primeval Grotto |
How To Find Cherrim In Trees
The only way to locate Cherrim in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is if you throw one of your Pokémon at a shaking tree with blue leaves in the aforementioned areas. In the Coronet Highlands, the blue trees that Cherrim can be found in are part of the Lonely Spring, Fabled Spring, and Primeval Grotto. Additionally, these trees have a significantly higher chance of Cherrim popping out over Cherubi, so it’s best that you still go to the Coronet Highlands to complete your Cherrim research data. Check out the video below from Techno Trainer on YouTube to see what the shaking trees where Cherrim is located look like:
After checking all the appropriate trees, return to Jubilife Village in Pokémon Legends: Arceus and then back to the Coronet Highlands in order to reset the spawns.
You can also turn off the automatic save setting and manually save Pokémon Legends: Arceus to bypass having to return to Jubilife Village if you didn’t find Cherrim among the trees.
The Easiest Way To Get Cherrim in Arceus
The easiest way to get a Cherrim in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is by evolving Cherubi. The evolution process requires you to raise Cherubi’s level to 25. Alternatively, catching a Cherrim from the wild requires players to be careful when battling the Pokémon.
Since Cherrim is weak to Fire-, Ice-, Flying-, Poison- and Bug-type attacks, the safest way to capture a Cherrim is by using a Pokémon that has learned the move “False Swipe.” This will enable you to drop Cherrim’s health down to 1HP, making it far easier to catch the Pokémon with an Ultra Ball.
