A video game based on the 1974 horror classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre has been dubbed one of the scariest games of all time.
The online multiplayer game is so brutally violent and terrifying that many players have been too scared to even finish their first match.

In the game, players get the choice of controlling one of four innocent victims, who must work together to escape the chainsaw-wielding Leatherface and his deranged family of redneck serial killers.
Players begin tied up in the family’s maze-like basement, which is strewn with body parts and torture devices.

Players can either control a family of killers -including the titular character Leatherface- or play as innocent victims who must escape the redneck murderers
Leatherface is also down in the basement and is tasked with hunting down the victims before they can find a lockpick to open the door and run upstairs into the main house.
Once inside the house, they must find various tools to to unlock one of four different escape exits on the property before they can flee for good.
Victims are unable to fight back, so they need to rely on stealth, speed, and craftiness to plot their escapes.
Alternatively, players can choose to step into the role of the murderous family instead.

Leatherface and his family of redneck killers, which includes a woman named Sissy who was a member of the infamous Manson family, must hunt down victims
As either Leatherface or one of his fellow killers, players need to secure the property and hunt down the victims before they’re able to get out.
They have a variety of brutal weapons and devices to help them, from chainsaws and machetes to traps and padlocks.
Some of the kill scenes are horrifyingly gruesome, and include jamming a rolling pin into a victim’s chest or shoving a victim’s face onto the edge of a live chainsaw.
The killers are all based off of characters from the original 1974 film, such as the deranged hitchhiker, as well as family patriarch Drayton Sawyer – also known as ‘The Cook’.
There are also two new original killer characters, including a bloodthirsty female named Sissy who was a member of Charles Manson’s cult before joining Leatherface’s family.
