Pokémon Stadium 2 is a classic Nintendo 64 game that was originally released in 2001 as a sequel to Pokémon Stadium. It is a spin-off of the main Pokémon series that focuses on battling with various Pokémon in different modes and tournaments. The game features all 251 Pokémon from the first and second generations, as well as compatibility with the Game Boy Color games Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal. Nintendo announced that Pokémon Stadium 2 will be available on Nintendo Switch Online as part of the Expansion Pack service on August 8, 2023.
The Nintendo Switch Online version of Pokémon Stadium 2 will have online multiplayer functionality, allowing players to challenge their friends or other players around the world. Players can use either the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers or the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller to play the game. The game will cost $19.99 USD for a one-year subscription to the Expansion Pack service, which also includes access to other Nintendo 64, GBA, and SEGA Genesis games, as well as DLCs.
