Samsung Germany has offered initial details about One UI 6, the company’s next major update that it will make available across its recent smartphone and tablet portfolio. As always, Samsung will first host a public beta campaign, which its German division announced via a press release. Seemingly, Samsung Germany jumped the gun slightly, because it has since deleted the press release from its website. Regardless, Google Cache presents a complete version of the original press release, which we have embedded below.
Accordingly, Samsung will start its next One UI Beta campaign with the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra, but not the newer Galaxy Z Flip5 or Galaxy Z Fold5. Based on the now-deleted press release, One UI 6 Beta will commence in Germany, South Korea and the US before moving to other markets. As usual, it will be possible to register for the One UI Beta program through the Samsung Members app, provided you open the link on a Galaxy S23 series handset in one of the participating countries.
Additionally, the press release describes some of the biggest changes between One UI 5 and One UI 6, such as a revised UI. In short, Samsung has overhauled the Quick Settings panel, although it has not adopted the equivalent that Google offers on Pixel devices. Please see the images below for full details. Currently, it is unclear when One UI 6 Beta will open. However, the swift publication and taking down of Samsung Germany’s press release implies that this year’s beta will receive a full release soon.
