Following the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 last month, the rumor mill for Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series appears to have gained speed. More details of the Galaxy S24 Ultra have surfaced recently, with the most recent report indicating a dire lack of improvements in the battery or charging departments.
According to leaker Yogesh Brar, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will arrive next year with a 5000 mAh battery and 45 W wired charging. Corroborated by Ice Universe, those are the same specifications the Galaxy S23 Ultra offers—as well as the Galaxy S22 Ultra before it. It appears Samsung will maintain those figures on its next-gen phones, sadly.
Recent reports seemingly claimed the S24 Ultra could feature a 5500 mAh battery and 65 W charging but those rumors now appear to have been wide of the mark. Overall, it seems the Galaxy S24 Ultra will not deliver significant improvements over its predecessor, as it’s also expected to sport the same 200 MP camera on the Galaxy S23 Ultra, eschewing a switch to a bigger 1-inch sensor as seen on the competition. At the very least, though, fans can look forward to a titanium frame, slimmer bezels, and a new telephoto shooter.
