Reese Witherspoon goes incognito with dark sunglasses and baseball cap for travel day at NYC airport following visit with son Deacon

Reese Witherspoon has been spending time with her son, Deacon, in New York City in recent days.

The 19-year-old aspiring actor currently attends New York University, which is situated in Manhattan.

The mother and son tandem have been seen out on the bustling streets together, shopping and eating at some of the many mom and pop restaurants the big city has to offer.

It appears her visit has come to an end, considering The Morning Show star was seen making her way through one of the three New York region airports on Friday.

In an obvious effort to not draw attention to herself, Witherspoon wore dark sunglasses and a black baseball cap over her long blonde tresses that flowed out the back and sides well past her shoulders.

With a small carry-on bag and small orange purse over her left arm, the longtime Hollywood leading lady kept it casual in the fashion department for her travel day, seemingly back home to Los Angeles.

The Academy Award-winning actress stepped out in faded blue jeans and a dark sweater over a white t-shirt.

In keeping with her casual and comfort mode of the day she also donned a pair of white sneakers.

Art certain points, the Walk The Line star could be seen rummaging through her bag looking for a few items before going through the security gates, ahead of her flight.

Despite being caught in the middle of a busy day traveling, Witherspoon (born Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon), 47, took some time out to pay tribute to her mother, Mary Elizabeth ‘Betty”‘(Reese) Witherspoon, on her 75th birthday.

‘Happy Birthday to the best mom I could ever dream of!’ she began in the caption of a photo of the two smiling at a restaurant. ‘Thank you for always believing in my dreams and cheering me on… and making me Laugh everyday. I love you , Mama!’

In the photo, the Big Little Lies star looks to be bursting out in laughter decked out in a summer-ready blue-patterned dress.

She has her left arm behind her beloved mom, who’s sitting to her left with a big brown straw hat on and a playful look on her face.

It appears as though Reese had solid role models for parents growing up.

Her mother was a professor of nursing at Vanderbilt University, along with having a PhD in pediatric nursing.

Her late father, Dr. John Draper Witherspoon, served as a military surgeon and lieutenant in the United States Army Reserve, while also having a private practice as an otolaryngologist, or ENT, which is a healthcare specialist who treats conditions affecting your ears, nose and throat.

He passed away in 2019 at the age of 77. Reese paid tribute to him on social media, calling him her ‘hero’ and thanking him for always believing in her, according to My News GH.

The trip back east comes about five months after the actress and ex-husband Jim Toth, 53, announced they were separated and getting a divorce after nearly 12 years of marriage.
