While the Mix Fold 3 will take center stage at Xiaomi’s upcoming launch event, the company is also slated to release a slew of new devices, including the Pad 6 Max and the Redmi K60 Extreme Edition—or the Redmi K60 Ultra as it will be colloquially known. The Redmi K60 Ultra is tipped to Redmi’s first flagship-tier phone in years, and some of its pricing information has now leaked online.
As revealed by Ishan Agarwal, typically reliable on such matters, Xiaomi plans to price the Redmi K60 Ultra aggressively as it tends to with phones in the series. Reportedly, the K60 Ultra will start at under CNY 2,999. That converts into right about US$414. The Redmi K50 Ultra bore that same MSRP when it launched last year, for example.
More interestingly, though, the Redmi K60 Ultra will be equipped with up to 24 GB of RAM, essentially kickstarting a trend of phones with that much memory, along with the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro. Supposedly, the 24 GB RAM SKU will start at around CNY 3,999 (US$550). Again, the MSRP of the range-topping Redmi K50 Ultra last year, albeit that was offered with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage instead.
