The mother of the Queen’s grandchildren has revealed that Camilla is an ‘amazing’ granny.
London-based Sara Parker Bowles, 50, who shares 16-year-old Lola and 13-year-old Freddy with the Queen’s son Tom, described her former mother-in-law as an ‘amazing’ grandmother on ITV last week.
Fashion editor Sara, who split from Tom in 2018, told the Lorraine show that Camilla takes a ‘hands on’ approach when it comes to her grandchildren.
She said that the Queen is engaged in her role as Granny, and wants to know everything when it comes to Freddy and Lola.
And the mother-of-two also shared the hot topic that Camilla and Lola always chat about together, as well as her opinion on the Queen’s ‘confident’ style evolution.

The presenter asked: ‘What sort of granny is she?’
Sara responded with a warm smile across her face and said: ‘She’s an amazing granny. She’s really hands on, and she’s you know, she’s really into it.
‘She wants to know everything that they’re into.’
Camilla’s love of jewellery has been much debated in recent times, and it turns out that her passion for jewels has been passed onto her granddaughter Lola.
Sara added: ‘She [Camilla] loves jewellery and she’s really knowledgeable about it and Lola is obsessed as well. So, they always chat about that.’
Earlier in the conversation, the pair also chatted about Camilla’s style evolution.
When asked whether she thought that Camilla’s style had changed over the years, Sara said: ‘I think she’s having more fun with it. And I think that really shows, it’s evolved naturally.’
‘And she’s a perfect example of someone who’s sort of eased into their style and feels confident.’

Camilla has five grandchildren in total, including a pair of twins, Gus and Louis Lopes (pictured) who are brothers to Eliza Lopes
‘It sticks to what they know. And I think that’s a really good way to go.’
The fashion editor added: ‘I love it when she wears black. I think she looks amazing in all black.
‘And I thought she looked incredible in her Dior suit at the Ascot earlier this year. Yes, that was a real winner.’
Just as Sara said, Camilla is indeed recognised for her love of jewellery, and she was recently spotted sporting a £4,500 Van Cleef & Arpels bracelet as she attended Sandringham Flower Show with her husband King Charles.
Camilla was previously praised by former Vogue editor Suzy Menkes, who commented on the royal’s ‘joy at wearing jewellery’, while criticising Kate Middleton, for being a ‘disappointment’ when it comes to her gems.

The bracelet worn by Camilla is one of numerous pieces she owns from Van Cleef & Arpels.
She appears to favour the Alhambra range, that encompasses lucky-clover style motifs, owning multiple pieces from the line including bracelets, earrings, and necklaces in a range of colours.
And the queen consort has been snapped wearing the pieces at various events, opting for a green Alhambra necklace with matching earrings when attending a charity launch at the V&A in 2017.
She wore her Magic Alhambra Diamond earrings from Van Cleef & Arpels, at the Man Booker Prize award ceremony in October 2015.
And Camilla donned the blue and gold Magic Alhambra bracelet she was snapped wearing today while attending a 2022 Buckingham Palace reception.
