ODI World Cup – CAB requests BCCI to reschedule Pakistan-England game

This is the second game involving Pakistan in the World Cup that has had a date change or a request for one. Pakistan’s marquee clash against India was originally scheduled for October 15, but was then brought forward to October 14 to avoid a clash with the first day of the Hindu festival of Navaratari. Local police were concerned that it would be difficult to provide adequate security on October 15. Though the ICC is yet to release a revised schedule, ESPNcricinfo understands the PCB has agreed to the change. That match will still be played in Ahmedabad.
