According to the commenter, a source they have has been quite explicit in regard to the Nintendo Switch 2 price details, apparently stating:

Previously, a price “ceiling” of US$499 was mentioned for the Switch 2; US$399 is a considerably lower figure that is only US$100 more than the launch price of the OG Switch. If the Nintendo Switch 2 release date does fall in the second half of 2024, which is widely expected at the moment, then a price tag that is under US$400 for a hybrid console that should be a huge leap in terms of specs, performance, and processing power over the 2017 model is very reasonable. If the system itself proves to be a cracker (Switch) rather than a dud (Wii U) then sales will undoubtedly go through the roof at that price point.
Zippo has also provided purported details about Nintendo’s growing list of partners, with Epic Games joining the roster proper and Unreal Engine being rolled out over more Switch titles.
