Nicaragua La Bastilla Estate Small Lot Coffee

Trader Joe’s is bolstering its small batch coffee selection with the addition of new Nicaragua La Bastilla Estate Small Lot Coffee.

Trader Joe’s new Nicaragua La Bastilla Estate Small Lot Coffee is a unique coffee that has been dubbed “blueberry candy” by the farmers who grow it. The name comes from the 100% Arabica beans of the Red Catuai variety that boast a unique sweetness and subtle blueberry scent. The beans are grown 4,300 feet above sea level in Nicaragua’s high-elevation Jinotega region, which gives the beans a rich and nutritious soil to grow in.

When brewed, you can expect a medium roast layered notes of blueberries, as well as cocoa, pineapples, and cherries. With its fruity flavor profile, the coffee pairs perfectly with treats like a Blueberry Muffin or a Cheese Pastry Roll.
