The COROS APEX 2 Pro Chamonix Edition smartwatch has arrived. Only 3,000 units of the limited edition wearable are available worldwide. The new version is similar to the standard model, with a blue and grey color scheme inspired by the Alps.
COROS says that, collectively, its users have logged over 1,000,000 m (~3, 280,840 ft) of vertical ascent at Chamonix. Plus, the company will attend Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB) 2023, with the festival based in the valley. The APEX 2 Pro has many features for trail running, including sun movements, elevation profile and alerts if you deviate off route. Other tools to help you boost your performance include a general training status, 7-day total load estimate, recovery timer and effort pace tracking to help you to manage your energy levels.
The APEX 2 Pro has a 1.3-in (~33 mm) touchscreen always-on display with a 260 x 260 px resolution. This is protected by sapphire glass, and the watch has a titanium bezel and silicone or nylon watch strap. Buttons on the wearable include a digital dial, back button and backlight button. You can connect the smartwatch to devices like a smartphone via Bluetooth, with Wi-Fi data syncing to the COROS App. The battery is expected to last up to 30 days with daily use or 75 hours with standard full GPS. You can now buy the COROS APEX 2 Pro Chamonix Edition smartwatch for US$449/£449/€499.
