Chocolate lovers are in for a sweet treat after the news that KitKat has brought back a product that’s taken a break for three years.
KitKat Chunky Hazelnut is back once again for a limited period of time, ready to ignite a rivalry against its formidable foe, the classic KitKat Chunky Peanut Butter.
According to the Nestlé UK website, there is set to be a ‘Battle of the Breaks’ as the two bars will be ‘competing for the hearts and taste buds of Chunky fans all over the nation.’
Now on sale, the mouth-watering chocolate bar consists of a crispy wafer, topped with a layer of hazelnut spread and encased in the milk chocolate that KitKat fans enjoy and love.

KitKat Assistant Brand Manager, Torin Zieboll, said of the relaunch: ‘It’s been three long years since KitKat Chunky Hazelnut was on sale in the UK.
‘We couldn’t resist bringing it back for chocolate fans to indulge in a little nutty decadence and turn up the heat on KitKat Chunky Peanut Butter, who has reigned supreme for more than a decade.’
He continued: ‘I’m keen to hear which flavour KitKat Chunky fans prefer this time around.
‘While KitKat Chunky Peanut Butter holds a special place in my heart, I’ll be taking a break from the classic for now and mixing it up with a KitKat Chunky Hazelnut.

Since its launch in 1999, KitKat Chunky has produced many exciting, limited-edition flavoured bars to delight fans.
Some favourites include: Salted Caramel Popcorn, Cookie Dough, Coconut, Mint, Chocolate Fudge and New York Cheesecake.
KitKat Chunky Hazelnut will be sold at a retail price of 70p and is now available to buy in supermarkets and convenience stores nationwide.
Fans who enjoy both hazelnut and chocolate are set to savour every single scrumptious bite of the wafer-bar – but may be warned by an etiquette expert to eat it ‘delicately.’
In 2022, an etiquette expert revealed the ‘posh’ way to eat a Kit Kat by using a plate and taking ‘small, neat, delicate’ bites.
Lucy Challenger, 38, who is based in London and Berkshire, is the founder and CEO of high-end Mayfair agency Polo and Tweed, which sources employees for uber-wealthy clients.
She is also a TikTok creator, and has garnered almost 10 million likes for her videos which teach Gen Z social media users the essential manners and etiquette they need to fit in with the upper echelons of society.

In a tongue-in-cheek video, which garnered almost 4 million views, Lucy revealed the correct way to eat a Kit Kat in the unlikely event you were served one in a posh setting.
Speaking in the clip, she says: ‘I’m going to show you the formal British way to eat a Kit Kat.’
‘I unwrap the Kit Kat with my fingers around removed the paper layer and place it onto the plate,’ she explained.
After carefully unwrapping the treat, removing the outer sleeve and the foil and laying them neatly down, it was time to tackle the bar itself.
She said: ‘I simply snap the KitKat in two, lift one section of the Kit Kat, placing the other section down on the plate, then place it into my mouth in a small neat delicate bite to eat.
‘One continues to eat the Kit Kat until the KitKat is fully consumed,’ she concluded.
