This jewelry store interior concept by Crosby Studios was executed for the Avgvst brand in Berlin. The project presents an unconventional and innovative departure from traditional retail environments as it embraces an industrial aesthetic that is more reminiscent of kitchen spaces than jewelry businesses. Yet, the interior design concept remains sound and chic.
Crosby Studios’ approach involved the repurposing of steep kitchen equipment, camping furniture, and office blinds for the jewelry store interior. The firm’s concept drew inspiration from dark kitchens—”fast food outlets that provide food for deliveries and takeaways but don’t have a dedicated area for in-house dining.” Crosby Studios incorporated vibrant bursts of yellow, the Avgvst’s signature color, to generate a visually striking contrast that immediately captures attention. The color choice may also subtly reinforce the brand’s association with gold.
