The Kyle and Jackie O Show is reportedly airing in Melbourne next year.
Co-host of Fox FM’s Fifi, Fev & Nick show Brendan Fevola spilled the beans on his show on Monday.
Citing a source in Sydney’s radio industry, the former AFL star said he heard the bombshell rumour over the weekend.
He claimed the source told him, ‘You might have competition next year. Someone in our city is now gonna be in Melbourne,’ Fevola recalled. ‘Kyle and Jackie!’
However he claimed the KIIS FM juggernauts were the wrong fit for Melbourne, saying ‘That’s not the right DNA.’

He added, ‘That’s a Sydney show. Surely they’re not coming to Melbourne … What the hell?’
Co-host Fifi Box agreed, chiming in, ‘You should be in Melbourne when you’re broadcasting to Melbourne.’
Kyle and Jackie O broadcast from the Sydney suburb of North Ryde.

KIIS FM’s Melbourne breakfast timeslot is currently filled by the Jase & Lauren show, hosted by Jason Hawkins and Lauren Phillips.
Syndication of The Kyle and Jackie O Show in Melbourne would see Jase & Lauren scrapped.
But given Sandilands has hinted that he may leave KIIS FM for a 2Day FM homecoming, the move may have disastrous ramifications for the industry at large.

Were Kyle and Jackie to opt to leave KIIS, it could leave Australia’s two largest cities without a breakfast show in 2024.
Last month Kyle hinted he will be leaving KIIS FM after nine years to move to rival network 2Day FM.
The shock jock, 52, told co-host Jackie O, 48, he was asked about the rumours by paparazzi as he returned to Sydney from his European honeymoon.
Sandilands hinted that he was open to a potential move if he was presented with an attractive offer, asking Jackie, ‘What’s my motto?’
‘Where there’s a till, there’s a way,’ she responded.

Kyle confirmed she was correct and joked that was Jackie’s motto as well.
According to the Australian Financial Review, the duo’s old network SCA has been ‘pretty aggressive’ in pursuing the pair as their current deal with KIIS FM and ARN comes to an end in 2024.
‘This is like sports rights for radio. It’s very likely it’ll end up being the biggest talent media deal ever,’ a network insider said.

ARN Media CEO & Managing Director Ciaran Davis told Daily Mail Australia: ‘We don’t see contract negotiations as being an on-off exercise.’
‘Since Kyle and Jackie O have been with us, we have been working very hard to make sure they feel part of a bigger network, and that everybody contributes to that.
‘I don’t think it’s a surprise to us that they have had the highest listenership they have ever had. Having worked in many countries in radio, I think they are the best in the world at what they do.’
A spokesperson for SCA declined to comment on the speculation when contacted by Daily Mail Australia.
The Kyle and Jackie O Show was originally broadcast on 2Day FM from January 2005 until December 2013, and moved to its current network KIIS FM in January 2014.
