Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reveals terrifying cancer scare after finding a lump in her breast during emotional live interview: ‘Went to the lowest of lows in the space of 5 mins’

KIIS FM radio star Jackie ‘O’ Henderson recently experienced a terrifying cancer scare.

The 48-year-old was preparing for a photo shoot when she found a small lump in one of her breasts.

The Kyle and Jackie O Show star opened up about the scary ordeal during an emotional interview on Studio 10 on Monday.

Jackie appeared on the program with her friend and manager Gemma O’Neil to promote their new ‘Besties’ app.

Gemma explained Jackie found the lump when she went to the bathroom during the shoot to put on fake tan. 

 ‘She felt her breasts and said “Yeah I found something”,’ Gemma explained. 

‘We went from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows in the space of 5mins.’

Thankfully, Jackie later received an ‘all clear’ from doctors when she got a mammogram the day after she made her frightening discovery. 

‘Fortunately we got you in for a mammogram the next day and everything was fine,’ Gemma explained.

Jackie urged viewers not to wait to get a mammogram, even if you are scared about the results. 

‘A lot of the time you don’t want to because a lot of people just think the worst and they are too afraid to see what the result is and it’s terrifying. It really is… and those few days are like, “what if what if”,’ Jackie said. 

‘And sometimes you go ”I don’t want deal with that today I’ll deal with that next week” – and by putting it off and off, it’s not the answer.

‘And it does encourage someone to go and checked then i think that would beget because you know and too more often than not good news, its done.

‘It’s so important to get those checks done.’

Last month, Jackie announced she was launching a new business with her close friend Gemma, which ‘celebrates the most important relationship in your life – your best friend’.

Besties is an event-based business which sells experiences for ‘best friends’ to create memories together.

Last month, Jackie announced she was launching a new business called Besties. She later revealed Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow, 50, will be visiting Down Under in October to help launch the events business that aims to help women celebrate their close female friends

Jackie O announced the launch on Instagram as well, saying she was ‘thrilled’ to be starting a new ‘side hustle’ with her best friend of 20 years.

Alongside a reel of stunning professional photos the pair took on a beach, Jackie O said she and Gemma have been through every huge milestone together.

‘Like any best friend duo, we’ve always dreamed of starting our own side hustle, and we’re so thrilled to share the news of our newest venture, Besties,’ she said.
