Innocn is now shipping its 13.3-inch 13A1F and 15.6-inch 15A1F portable OLED monitors for $190 USD and $240, respectively, after applying the coupon code ‘INNOMonitor’ at checkout. The sale is expected to last until the end of this month.
The two 1080p HDR OLED monitors are notable for offering full DCI-P3 colors, pitch-dark black levels, and 400 nits of brightness each to be better than most IPS panels commonly found on Ultrabooks. The 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch models are each just 0.27-inches thick while the 15.6-inch model is only slightly heavier (1.6 lbs vs. 1.3 lbs).
Perhaps the most annoying aspect of the monitors is that they utilize mini-HDMI instead of full-size HDMI. Consoles and most PCs integrate full-size HDMI ports and so mini-HDMI cables are not nearly as common. USB-C is used for power and also video if the host PC can support it.
Another limitation is the standard 60 Hz refresh rate and 1080p native resolution as newer laptops have been steadily moving toward faster refresh rates and higher resolutions. Even so, these Innocn monitors are still a quick and affordable solution for adding a secondary OLED screen to almost any current laptop.

After graduating with a B.S. in environmental hydrodynamics from the University of California, I studied reactor physics to become licensed by the U.S. NRC to operate nuclear reactors. There’s a striking level of appreciation you gain for everyday consumer electronics after working with modern nuclear reactivity systems astonishingly powered by computers from the 80s. When I’m not managing day-to-day activities and US review articles on Notebookcheck, you can catch me following the eSports scene and the latest gaming news.
