A woman who complained to hotel staff about a couple’s noisy sex trysts has revealed her own husband labelled her a ‘prude’.
The mother-of-three, 38, posted on US forum Reddit to lambast the ‘attractive’ British couple for having sex so thunderous it woke her up in the middle of the night.
Despite the five star European resort being ‘amazing’, the hotel walls were interlinked, meaning the woman and her husband, 41, could hear romping sessions ‘more or less twice a day’. She added the positioning of the lower balcony gave them front row seats to the couple ‘kissing all over each other’, and going ‘topless sunbathing’.
However, after she complained to the hotel concierge, the woman claimed her husband took issue with how she’d handled the situation and said he thought the woman in the couple was ‘young, thin and hot’.
Readers were left gobsmacked by her admission and branded her husband a ‘huge a******’ – but some still thought she was in the wrong for reporting them to the front desk.

The woman explained she and her husband were already in a difficult place in their relationship, after the amount of sex they have has dwindled – which made his comment about the younger woman in the couple all the more painful to hear.
She explained: ‘I am on vacation in Europe with my husband, we have been together for 14 years and this is our first trip without our kids.
‘Part of the reason we have taken this trip is to rekindle the relationship. This is a two-week trip and we are on day nine. For context we have had sex once.
‘We were both drunk, and I think we both forced it a bit. We get on great as people, but our sex life has been an issue since we had children.
‘My husband told me he “loves me but doesn’t find me attractive sexually anymore” which was upsetting and hurtful as in the past three years I have gained over 100lbs.’
She then launched into the details of her anticlimactic trip which was instantly marred by her husband’s issues with ‘nearly everything’, from the hotel to food.
Four days into the trip, the arrival of a ‘young’ couple next door resembling ‘Instagram models’ set the holiday on an even rockier course.
She continued: ‘The issue is each room shares a wall with another room, and we share a room and a lower balcony where we can see their terrace with this couple.
‘Since they have arrived we have heard them having sex more or less than twice a day, in addition, when they are sat on the terrace they are kissing and all over each other and the woman next door is sunbathing topless.’

She thought perhaps their carefree nature was the ‘norm’ in Europe but she couldn’t get on board with it. Her growing disdain for the good-looking twosome was exacerbated by her husband’s decision to befriend them.
‘Truthfully I think [he is] lusting over the woman next door. Who I think was oblivious to this. I have also spoken to them both and they seem nice.
‘After being woken in the middle of the night two nights ago to the sound of them having sex, and again that morning. I went and asked the concierge if they could ask them to keep it down.
‘Obviously having been told something, last night the man next door angrily told my husband if he had an issue he should [have] said something directly. My husband did not know I had reported it, and we then argued all yesterday evening.
‘My husband called me ridiculous and a prude and that if I was “more carefree” we wouldn’t have any issues.
‘I also brought up his obvious like of the woman next door and he angrily said “why wouldn’t I, she is young, thin and hot” which was an obvious dig of what I am not’.
She added that he stormed out of their hotel room before returning to sleep in ‘silence’.
The two failed to remedy the situation the next day, with her husband going on a solo hike and cancelling their dinner date.
‘Am I the a****** for complaining about the couple next door?’ she asked the forum. ‘Or is he the a****** for leaving me in the hotel all day on vacation?
In an updated post, she explained that she had gained 100lbs due to birthing three children and was ‘working’ on losing the weight, while her husband had also gained about 60lbs since becoming a father.
Although some people blamed her husband for the disappointing holiday, one person branded her ‘jealous’: ‘Original poster is jealous about them doing what she expected herself to be doing’ they said.
Another person blamed her poor experience on weight gain: ‘I’m not really sure what there is to “work out” with the husband at this point. She should be focusing on working on herself, for more important reasons than her marriage or sex life. She is in all likelihood outright obese at this point and cruising for a multitude of health issues. 100lbs on the average female frame is a lot’.
However, one person said her husband was the ‘biggest a******’: ‘Your husband is the biggest a****** present, but you’re taking out your frustrations on innocent bystanders. It’s not the younger lady’s fault that your husband is an inappropriate horndog. It’s not their fault that your vacation isn’t having the restorative effect you were hoping for.
‘And honestly, I don’t think the main issue is that they’re having sex. The main issue is that your husband sounds terrible, and he’s making you feel terrible, and you’re searching for a reason to be feeling terrible that isn’t the doom of your longstanding relationship’.
