If players have the “Harper Stash” quest, they will likely encounter the Lava Elemental on their way to the Grymforge. This enemy’s exact coordinates are X: -595, Y: 215. Players should be prepared to attack this unique foe because it has 85 health and 12 AC at level 6. Luckily, the Lava Elemental has -1 Initiative, so adventurers have a good chance of attacking first.
How To Defeat Laval Elementals In Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3)
Lava Elementals have Fire immunity and are resistant to both Piercing and Poison in Baldur’s Gate 3. Additionally, these creatures have two unique abilities and are weak to Cold damage. The first is called Magmatic Regeneration and allows the Lava Elemental to regain 10d6 hit points when starting a turn in lava. The second ability is called Magmatic Disturbance, which causes lava to bubble and explode.
The safest option is to Laval Elementals out of the lava while pelting it with Cold damage. Without the ability to regenerate in lava, the Elemental will eventually fall down.

By luring the Lava Elemental to a cliff, adventurers can use a Misty Step to teleport behind the foe, then cast Thunderwave to push the target off and end the fight. The downside is that the Lava Elementals body can’t be looted.
