The fascination with flying car concepts stems from a combination of human curiosity, technological advancement, and the allure of science fiction. Most people will admit, the availability of aerodynamic vehicles for everyday use will also contribute to escape from the ever-worsening traffic congestion. While flying car concepts have remained hypothetical, new advancements in technology are edging closer to making such autos a reality. Recently, the California-based sustainable electric transportation company Alef Aeronautics received “government certification to fly its Model-A flying car over some parts of the state, specifically Silicon Valley.”
The Model-A is portrayed as a hybrid between a traditional road vehicle and an aircraft, capable of vertical takeoff and flight. Of course, the model is reminiscent of the iconic flying cars depicted in popular culture. The luxury vehicle is open for pre-order.
