Farmer Wants a Wife couple Matthew Young and Olivia Benic share relationship update – after fan favourites split

Matthew Young and Olivia Benic are still going strong. 

The pair, who met on Farmer Wants a Wife, gave fans a relationship update on Instagram this week. 

In the images, shared to Matthew’s Instagram, they enjoyed a bushwalk and cuddled up atop a rock. 

‘Good times with an even better lady’ Matthew wrote in the caption alongside the images. 

Farmer Matt, 24, sparked backlash on the show after he chose Olivia, 24, over his other love interest Annabelle, 22, as viewers believed the latter suited him better.

This meant a few feathers were ruffled when he finally declared his love for Olivia and she reciprocated.

Matt and Olivia are still going strong. She recently shared a picture of the pair together on the farm with a working dog and sweetly captioned it: ‘Forever smiling with you (and Neville).’

It comes after fan favourite Farmer Wants A Wife couple Brenton Kuch and Sophie Holcombe split.

Sophie announced the shock news on Tuesday night in an emotional Instagram post, and hinted it was a bitter breakup.

The brunette beauty found love with Victoria cattle farmer Brenton earlier this year during filming for the popular Channel Seven show, and relocated to his farm in Darriman shortly after. 

‘I have an update to share,’ she wrote in her post. 

‘With a heavy heart, I want to let everyone know Brenton and I have gone our separate ways. 

‘Reg (her dog Reginald) and I loved our life in Darriman and have been missing the farm a lot.’

Sophie alluded to an acrimonious split by calling the breakup ‘disappointing’ and said she is now revaluating ‘her values’. 

‘It’s a disappointing ending, but I’ve learned a lot about myself and my values,’ she added. 

‘I wish Brenton all the best and want to thank everyone for their support, especially my family and friends.’

Brenton has yet to comment on the relationship breakdown.
