Sequel is a startup company led by women based in San Francisco and it unveils its new Spiral Tampon that has been approved by the FDA recently. The menstrual product is a revolutionary design in scope, offering a modern solution after many years. It was created by two classmates at Stanford, Greta Meter, and Amanda Calabrese.
The two are athletes and often worry when playing sports wearing white uniforms. The Spiral Tampon is meant to sop up blood flow and was created as a class project at first. It is defined by diagonal grooves where vertical ones would traditionally be found. This makes the absorption much more proficient and reduces leakage as the groove smake the flow path longer.
